The formula combines the Item ID with the Form’s url to create a unique url for each Monday Item that leads to the exact same form but only updates the specific Item.

This setup allows you to either manually or automatically share the unique form url for any Item with anybody. Anyone that submits that form will only update the Item that specific url points to.

#2 – Add a Monday.com Connect Board Column to your Fillout Form

Funnily enough, this feature was briefly available in Monday Work Forms then vanished without a trace. This feature allows you to add/map a Connect Board Column to your Fillout Form. This, in turn, allows users to select and connect any of the Items in the connected Board when they are submitting the form.

Eg let’s say you are using the Basic CRM template in Monday, which contains a Deal Tracker Board and a Contacts Board, both of which are connected to each other via a 2-way Connect Boards Column.

You could create a Fillout Form and link it to the Deal Tracker Board and drag-and-drop the Connect Board Column from the sidebar into your Fillout Form to add the field to your Form and map it to the Connect Board Column in fell swoop.

This would mean that a user could fillout the form, say typing in “Big Deal X” for the Deal name and selecting the ever popular Phoenix Levy in the Connect Board Column field. This would create a new Deal in the Deal Tracker Board that is called “Big Deal X” and is connected to the Contact Phoenix Levy.

Once you master this process, you will never want to set up another Monday Work Form again!
